Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
1 large ripe avocado
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
Optional: chilli flakes, finely chopped jalapeños, finely diced red onion, finely diced tomato, finely chopped coriander leaves.
DIRECTIONS
1. Peel the avocado and remove the seed. Place the avocado flesh in a small bowl and use a fork (or a potato masher) to mash the avocado really well until smooth.
2. Peel and crush the garlic with a garlic press or a fork. Add the crushed garlic to the avocado with the lemon juice and salt (and any optional extras if using) and mix well to combine.
3. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed (you may need to add a little more salt or lemon juice).
